After a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Jean Stewart. Dear father of Bobby (Yvette Stevenson), Ottawa; Betty (Bobby Laporte), Campbell's Bay; Carolyn (David Spinney), Kanata and David, Campbell's Bay. Cherished grandpa of Scott, Bobby, Natasha, Shauna, Josh and Jason. Dear brother of Dorothy (Manly Brown), Campbell's Bay; Joan (Leonard Kluke), Campbell's Bay; Marjorie (Lloyd Hodgins), Shawville; Lorne (Dorcas Stewart), Campbell's Bay; Dawson (Betty Robitaille), Ottawa; Donnie (Connie Chabut), Ottawa; Muriel (Mearl Richard), Renfrew; Merlin, Haley Station; Maurice (Barbara Beausoleil), Bourget and Elaine (Andre Pilon), Campbell's Bay. Predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Jenny Sparling and brothers Billy and Elmer. Also survived by brother-in-law George Stewart (Teresa) and sisters-in-law Barbara Sparling and Melba Wallace. Friends may call at the Ringrose Brothers Funeral Home, Campbell's Bay, Quebec, Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday after 12 noon. Funeral Thursday, March 21 to St. George's Anglican Church, Campbell's Bay, Quebec for service at 2 p.m. Interment in St. George's Cemetery.
