Freda Belle MCEWAN

nee McEwan July 27, 1919 - June 1, 2002. Beloved Mother of daughter Margo Hughes, Huntsville, Alabama, and son Rev. Shaun O'Connor, MIC, Washington, D.C. and Stockbridge, Massachusetts, grandchildren Doyle Hughes, Mark Hughes and Rosie Luna. Son Danny, Jr. and husband Daniel preceded her in death. Born in Ottawa, she was a member of McPhail Baptist Church, attended Commerce High School, was a badminton enthusiast and government worker during World War II. She and her husband Daniel moved to Daytona Beach, Florida USA in 1959 where she was a member of First Baptist Church, a bowler, Meals on Wheels and civic-minded volunteer. In 1996 she moved first to The Fairmont and later Cobblestones at Fairmont Assisted Living, Manassas, Va. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St., on Monday, June 10, 2002 from 10 a.m. until time of the Memorial Service in the chapel at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. Graveside service will be private.
