Mrs. Heather Marie Smith (née McEwan) November 25, 1957 - May 15, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Richmond Funeral Home It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, daughter, sister, niece, aunt and friend. Heather passed away at Richmond Hospital on May 15, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 47. Heather is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Brian; mother Marie and her brother Rick (Betty) and many nieces and nephews. Heather was predeceased by her older brother, Bruce in 1990 and her father Harry in 2004. Heather was born in Vancouver, BC in 1957 and was a longtime resident of Richmond with her husband Brian and her beloved dog Romeo. She was a longtime employee of Lordco in Richmond and most recently of Bracewell Boatworks in Richmond. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, May 20th, 2005 at the Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 Cambie Road, Richmond, B.C. at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
