Cecile (Senecal) Jones 1917 - 2005 Cecile (Senecal) Jones died peacefully in the loving presence of family on Thursday, May 12, 2005 at age 87 at her residence in Mississauga, Ontario, where she had resided for the past two years. Formerly a resident of Moncton for nearly 45 years, she was the widow of the late Eldon R. Jones. After a career in teaching, she retired from the Universite de Moncton in 1980. She was born in Plantagenet, Ontario, the daughter of the late Francis-Albert and Marie-Louise (Labrosse) Senecal. She was predeceased by her eight sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Louise Takata (Gary) of Manhattan, N.Y.; her son, Richard Jones (Anne-Marie) of Shediac; her daughter, Elizabeth Sears (Randy) of Mississauga and four grandchildren, Christine Jones of Shediac, Jennifer Jones of Montreal, Brittany Sears and Nathan Sears, both of Mississauga. At Cecile's request there will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 28, 11:30am at l'Eglise Notre-Dame-de-la Paix, 87 Murphy St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cecile's memory to The Arthritis Society, Nazareth House Inc. or any local charity benefiting those in need.
