Helen BERENDA

DZUDZ, Helen (Olena Berenda) Born in Ukraine. Passed away peacefully at the age of 77 on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 surrounded by her loving family at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital. Cherished wife of the late John Dzudz (July 24, 2002). Beloved mother of Nick and wife Debra, Shirley, Linda, Greg and wife Eileen, Sandy and husband Jamie Charette, Steven and wife Rebecca. Dear Baba of John, Alysha, Nicholas, Lindsay, Krystine, Shantal, Joel and Johnathon. Loving sister of Virginia and husband Doug Pineau. Special cousin of John and Rosemary Dowhaniuk and family, Linda and the late Bill Dowhaniuk and family. Close friend to Mary Selcage and the late Ernie, Josette and Raymond Regimbal. Predeceased by her parents Nicholas and Iwanna Berenda and brother William. Survived by family in Ukraine. Mom was a proud associate member of CAW Local 1973. A special thanks to Dr. Fisher, Dr. McFarlane, Dr. Bill Poslosky, Dr. Dhar, Dr. Kadrie, Dr. Didiodatta and all the excellent nursing staff at Windsor Regional Hospital and Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Windsor, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre. Family and friends will be received at the Morris Sutton Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 68 Giles Blvd. East on Thursday, April 14, 2005 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral Service from the chapel on Friday, April 15, 2005 at 10 a.m. Fr. Pawlo Berezniak officiating. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. A tree will be planted in memory of Helen Dzudz in the Morris Sutton Heritage Forest.
