Mrs. Myrtle Constance Wournell (née Townsend) Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) WOURNELL, Myrtle Constance - Dartmouth, formerly of Lockeport, Shelburne Co., died peacefully Sunday, June 19, 2005, in Dartmouth General Hospital, surrounded by those who loved her dearly. Born in Western Head, Shelburne Co., she was a daughter of the late Howard and Emma Townsend. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Myrtle was predeceased by her husband, Orrison Wournell (1987); sisters, Jeannetta (Heber) Williams, Gladys (William) Baker, Viola (Edward) Scott; brothers, Everette, Randolph (Adena), Harold (Pansy), Maurice (Lexie); nephews, Leo Baker, Vance Townsend. She is survived by several nieces and nephews who have thought of her as a "second mother". There are also many great, great great and great great great-nieces and nephews who have loved her dearly like a grandmother. We will all miss her so very much. Our solace lies in the fact that we know, without a doubt, that she is in the presence of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. Myrtle gave her heart and life to Him over 70 years ago and had lived for our Lord since that day. We have all loved you with all of our heart, Aunt Myrt, and may we all meet you again one day in the place where partings will be no more. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where Myrtle's family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today and where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Phil Taylor officiating. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Centre.
