Douglas KERR

KERR, Douglas, Peacefully passed away at his home on July 7, 2005, in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Audrey (nee Saville). Loving father of John Kerr, Tom Kerr, Doug Kerr Jr. (Michelle), Cheryl Hallett (Drew), Susanne Tereschyn (Rob), Paul Krahul ec, Lyn Krahulec-Ehlers (Scott) and Gregg Krahulec. Caring grandfather to 12 grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers Tom, Robert & Jim. Doug was born and raised in St. Catharines and moved to Port Colborne 19 years ago, after meeting and then marr ying Audrey. He was a volunteer firefighter in Port Dalhousie for 4 years prior to amalgamating with the St. Catharines Fire Dept. where he worked for 30 years. Doug spent 10 years as Treasurer for St. Peter's Lutheran Church Sunday School and was al so involved in many other committees within the church. The family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. The Funeral Servic e will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church (200 Erie Street) at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Makey officiating. Cremation will follow.
