Winnifred "Winnie" Rose McGonigal (née Watson) December 25, 1919 - August 20, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Duncan) Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, August 20, 2005 in Duncan, BC. Born in England on December 25, 1919. Predeceased by her husband Robert (1982). Lovingly remembered by her family; children Judy (Wilf) Hack and Ron (Louise) McGonigal; grandchildren Tracy and Shaun; great-grandchildren David Hack and Spencer McGonigal; siblings Florrie Gau, Fred Watson, Bob Watson, Joyce Skelton and Audrey Watson; sister-in-law to Bill McGonigal (Peg) and Marion Hulme, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Winnie was a war bride and married Robert in England in 1943. She was a member of the W.A.A.F. and the Royal Canadian Legion. Winnie loved highland dancing, dogs, knitting, playing the organ and was an avid gardener. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. A graveside service will be held at Rosedale Cemetery, Moose Jaw, SK on Monday, September 19, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Winnie’s name may be made to a charity of ones’ choice
