Mr. John Beryl Dent April 04, 1917 - September 11, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home (Ancaster Chapel) Peacefully at McMaster University Medical Centre, John in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Elsie Hazel Dent (1995). Dear father of David and his partner Marylou, Brian and his wife Catharine. Dear grandfather of Jennifer (nee Dent) Paul. Special foster Dad to Bruce Krick and his wife Kim. Will be sadly missed by his brothers Bob, Keith, Ron, Malcolm and all nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughter-in-law Vida, brothers and sisters: Bert, Francis Ireland, Doug, Evelyn Greer and Blanche Taylor. John was a Veteran of WWII, with the First Canadian Field Squadron, Royal Canadian Engineers. He was a Charter Member of Marshall Memorial United Church and the Spring Valley Community Association. The family will receive friends at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home ANCASTER CHAPEL 378 Wilson St. East Ancaster, ON (905-648-3852) on Monday, September 12 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Tuesday, September 13 at 11a.m., with Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the V.O.N.
