Irene Rose Grandmaison (née Cliche) October 27, 1936 - September 18, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel (Tecumseh) Peacefully while in the loving care of her family on September 18, 2005 at 69 years of age. Beloved wife and life long best friend of Ed Grandmaison of 42 years. Loving mother of Rose Irene, Edward Adolph and Jeffery Ward. Loving grandmother to Amanda Rose and Eddie Nicholas. Predeceased by parents Adolph and Rose Cliche. Dear sister to Geraldine and husband Jim Caplette of B.C., Lucy Cliche, Maurice Cliche both of Pembroke. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Irene was a nurse for 47 years having worked for 29 years at Hotel Dieu Hospital as a Midnight Supervisor. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 from 6-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. from the Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (735-2830). Fr. Gary Goyeau officiating. Cremation will follow. In kindness memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Irene Grandmaison in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held in the fall of 2006. All are welcome.
