Elijah BOLES

BOLES, Elijah "Liege" At Fairmount Home on Friday, April 8, 2005. Liege Boles, husband of the late Theresa Hitchins. Father of Robert Boles (Judy) and Garry Boles (Brenda) all of Kingston. Grandfather of Nate (Shannon), ryan and Matt. Brother of Maym e Cox of Kingston and Gordon Boles (Susan) of Perth. Predeceased by brothers Bill, Edgar, Roddy, Archie, Bob, and by sister Mona and Molly. Elijahj was born in Clarendon, Ontario , north of Shrbot Lake and living on the family farm at Crotch Lake wit h his parents, 6 brothers and 3 sisters until he as 18 years old. In 1941 he started a job as a welder at the C.E. McPherson Company in Kignston, and worked there for 47 yers, interupted by his army service. Elijah joined the army in Kignston in Janu ary of 1942 and went overseas that April wtith the 5th Anti-Tank Regiment. His unit was swnt to a base in England, and then to Franch, Holland, Belgium and Germany. In Dember of 1945, Elijahj came back to Canada and was discharged fromt he servci in January 1946.
