CARKNER, J. Isobel Peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus after a short illness on Saturday, January 8, 2005. Daughter of the late Percy and Annie (McLean) Carkner. Dear sister of Kenneth D. Carkner. Loved by many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by special friends Mary Murphy, Mary Marek, Pat Jelly, Lois Henry and Evelyn Crawford. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Duncan Funeral Home, Chapel and Reception Centre, 6971 Bank Street (formerly Highway 31, between Scrivens Drive and Metcalfe Corner) after 10 a.m. Thursday where Service will follow in the Chapel at 12 noon.
