Arthur George TANNER

TANNER, Arthur "Art" George 81, Halifax, passed away March 27, 2005 in the New Halifax Infirmary QEII Health Science. Born in Halifax, he was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was a son of the late Charles and Audrey (Marshall) Tanner. While living in Ottawa, Art was employed with DND, and retired in 1978. He then assumed the position as president of Nova Signal Inc., a subsidiary of Philips Electronics after his retirement from DND. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 65 years, Rita (Murphy) Tanner, Halifax; son, Charles, Halifax; daughters, Judith (Oscar) Curry, New Orleans; Marcia Tanner, Fredericton; granddaughters, Kim Phillips, Taiwan; Leah Phillips, Toronto; nephew David Palmeter, Halifax. He was predeceased by brother, Charles Tanner; sister, Edna Palmeter. Cremation has taken place at Art's request. Private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
