Robert A. MONK

MONK, Robert "Bob" A. Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Claudette (Cote) and father of Brian (wife, Patricia and grandsons Evan & Liam) and Derek (wife, Layla). Bob will be dearly missed by sister Tish (husband, Gaetan) and brother Mike (wife, Sharron) (the twins) and their families, all formerly of Montreal. A well respected independent insurance claims adjuster, Bob spent his life in the insurance business. The family will be receiving guests and friends in Ottawa, at the Racine Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home at 180 Montreal Rd. (613-241-3680) on Monday, April 4th, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. which will be followed the next day, Tuesday April 5th in Montreal at the Kane and Fetterly Funeral Home at 5301 Decarie Boulevard (514-481-5301) from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sincere thanks are offered to the palliative care team of Dr. Louise Coulombe, nurses Charlene, Diane & Francois. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Brain Tumor Research. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home and will be followed by a reception for friends and family.
