OWENS, Stella (nee Futa) Peacefully at Hillel Lodge on Sunday April 3, 2005 in her 83rd year. Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and friend to the many people whose lives she touched. Stella was a graduate of the University of Toronto Law School in 1946. Born in Toronto, on February 7, 1922, to John and Justine Futa both of whom are deceased. Beloved wife of Mitch Owens. Predeceased by her daughter Marianne. Survived by sons John and Martin (Anne). Cherished grandmother of Cassandra (Ron), Natasha (Shawn), Shannon, Judd, Tyler, and Sara. Adoring greatgrandmother of Owen, Nadia and Cole. Friends may pay their respects at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home 1411 Hunt Club Rd. (at Albion) on Tuesday from 2-4, and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at Our Lady of Visitation, South Gloucester at 10 a.m. Interment Hope Cemetery.
