HAYES, Donald Sr. - At the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site on Thursday, December 1, 2005. Donald Alvin Hayes Sr. (WWII Veteran) of 728 Bedford Street; age 82 years. Dear husband of Betty (Gabriel) Hayes. Dear father of Donald Hayes Jr. of Cornwall, Patricia Covey of Hamilton, Marion Krienke (Kevin) of Winnipeg and Lorna Gilmore (Robert) of Ottawa. Beloved son of the late Edward Hayes and the late Ethel Irving. Dear brother of Helen Bisson (Edouard) of Ottawa. Predeceased by five brothers, Mervin, Patrick, Harold, Delmer and Alan and four sisters, Phyllis Beavin, Beverley MacCaffrey, Joyce Raisin and Frances Dumais. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Resting at the Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West (932-8482) from 2 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Monday, December 5, 2005 for Service in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Spring interment, Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. Pat Martin officiating. The family will be in attendance from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday and from 12 noon on Monday.
