Emma Christine Semple February 15, 1928 - March 20, 2006 Peacefully with family and friends at her side, family are saddened to announce the passing of Emma Christine Semple at her residence in Berens River on Monday, March 20, 2006 at the age of 78 years. Emma was born in Berens River on February 15, 1928 and resided there her entire life. Emma raised 12 children and adopted many. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. Emma was a gentle and loving person. Emma is survived by, brother, Harry N.Everett. Daughters, Lorraine (Irvin) Ross; Ethel Bear; Joyce (Jerry) Disbrowe; Betty (Blake) Schwarz; Florence (Al) Jasper and Angie (Greg) Berens. Sons, Hughie (Stella) Semple; Lindsay (Brenda) Semple; Colin (Melanie) Semple; Gerald (Carol) Semple, Oliver (Farrah) Semple and William Flett. Cousin, Betsy Patrick. Best friend, Myrna Whiteway. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Emma was predeceased by, Alex Everett (Father) March 20, 1954; Martha Everett (Mother) Sept 4, 1982. Husband,William Semple Feb 14, 1987. Sisters, Jewel Whiteway and Sarah Jane Whiteway. Brothers, Tache Everett; Colin Everett; Jones Everett and Lloyd Everett. Nephew, Clifford Everett Sr. Son-in-Law, Edwin Bear December 22, 2000; Daughter, Jean Franklin July 6, 2005.Grandsons, Jarvis Semple July 22, 1978; Colin Jr Semple May 11, 1996. Grandaughter, Sadie Glory Schwarz June 7, 2005. Wake Services will be held on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in Berens River. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Berens River United Church with Rev. Roy Bouchie officiating. Interment to follow in the Berens River Cemetery.
