Lawrence M. Bernard Lawrence M. Bernard, 77 of Lutes Mountain passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Friday, January 10, 2003. Born in Sommerville, Mass., son of the late Manuel and Loretta (Arsenault) Bernard. Lawrence was a retired C.N.R. Machinist with 21 years service, attended Paroisse Notre Dame de Grace, member of Moncton Legion Branch # 6, Veteran of World War II, served overseas with the P.P.C.L.I. Canadian Army in England, Germany, France, Italy, Holland and the Central Mediterranean Area, received the 1939-45 Star, Italy Star, France and Germany Star and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. Lawrence will be sadly missed by his wife of over 48 years, Geneva (Arsenault) Bernard; daughter, Donna Lutes (Irvin), Lutes Mountain; sons, John (Roxanne), Lutes Mountain, James (Jim) (Cathy), Russell, ON, Daniel at home; grandchildren, Jody-Lea, Clinton, Amy, Katie; sister, Stella Arsenault (Alec), Florida; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister, Margaret Theriault. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton, Sunday 7-9, Monday 2-4, 7 9. Moncton Legion # 6 Memorial Service 7pm Monday. Funeral Mass at Paroisse Notre Dame de Grace, time and day to be announced. Reception following the Mass. Interment, St. Timothy's Cemetery, Adamsville.
