Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Linda (Paul Ranger), Michaël, Steven (Lyne Gagné), ses petits-enfants Nicholas, Matthew, Cassandra, Jennifer, Miranda, sa mère Mme Barbara Roth Gruber, ses frères Ronald, Robert, autres parents et amis. Les funérailles le samedi 17 mai 2003 à 11 heures en l'église Sainte-Sophie. Des dons à la Société canadienne du cancer seraient appréciés. Direction funéraire : Desrosiers et fils 10, rue de Martigny, Saint-Jérôme1932-2003 After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Joseph Francis Gruber passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 14, 2003 at Hotel Dieu Hospital in St-Jerome, Qc. Beloved husband of Marcelle (nee La Grenade). Loving father of Linda, Michael and Steven and father-in-law to Paul Ranger and Lyne Gagne. Cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Matthew, Cassandra, Jennifer and Miranda. Also survived by his mother Barbara (nee Roth) and two brothers Ronald and Robert and family. Visitation will be held on Friday May 16 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. at the Funeral Home Desrosiers & Fils 676 Boul. des Laurentides, Saint-Antoine, Qc. Funeral services will be on Saturday May 17 at 11 a.m. at Eglise de Sainte Sophie 485 rue Masson. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Micheline Viger, his palliative nurse for her compassion, dedication and personal care over the past 2 years. Also a special thank you to Elyse Legault and Richard O'Connor for their thoughtful and kind attention. Joe was a wonderful man treasured and respected by all who knew him. His love and integrity will live on forever in our hearts. He will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
