Steven Michael TURKO

TURKO, Steven Michael (Sonny) - passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital on Monday October 6th, 2003 at the age of 61. Steve is survived by his best friend and companion of 12 years Jeannie Perham, son of Christopher Turko of Welland, his mother Olga Turko, brother Paul (B.J.) Turko of Welland, sisters Charlene Juranics of Niagara Falls, Patricia Haydu (Ken) of Calgary, Alberta. Steve is also survived by nieces and nephews, Steven (Sonia) Juranics of Cambridge, Peter (Stella) Turko of Welland, Tara Lynn (Marcus) Franklin of Niagara Falls and Sheri Lynn (Devin) Wright of Calgary, Alberta; great nieces and nephews Kevin and Madeline Juranics, Alessandra and Trevor Chiky, Sarina and Olivia Turko, Kerissa and Kaden Franklin. Also left mourning their loss are step-children Lisa Perham (Steve) and daughter Jillian of Thorold, Peter Perham and son Benjamin of Toronto as well as his loved and closest friends Jean's sister Margaret and her husband Larry Keighan and Wendy (Jake) Bas all of Port Colborne. Predeceased by his father Michael in 1989. Steve will be greatly missed by the many friends he made throughout his years at Canadian Tire, E.S. Fox, Niagara Plumbing & Supplies, Willodell Golf Course and most recently Sherkston Shores. Steve and Jeannie loved to travel, he formerly enjoyed playing old timers hockey, golf and most recently playing Euchre. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Kevin's Roman Catholic Church, 307 Niagara St., Welland on Saturday, October 11, 2003 at 9 am.
