SHANKS, Bette. Peacefully in Ottawa on Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at the age of seventy-three. Beloved wife of the late George. Loving mother of Melanie Black (Webb Herne). Very special grandma to David Black (Sarah). She will be sadly missed by her sister Doreen Brackley (Andy Bourgeois), her brother William Kitts (Marcel Pitre), her god-daughter and niece Gail Brackley, and her many loving friends. Friends may visit at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road at Albion Road, Ottawa on Friday from 11 a.m. until Service time in the Chapel at 3:30 p.m. Interment in Montreal at a later date.
