Gérard Joseph Richard June 09, 1944 - November 06, 2003 Passed away November 6th 2003 at his home in Kitchener in his 59th year. Born on June 9th, 1944 in Ottawa. Loving husband of Dorothy (nee Dawson). Loving father of Joanne and her husband Robert, and of Paul and his wife Lauren, and grandfather of Cameron. Dear brother of the late André Richard. Son of the late Armand and Laurence. Gérard led a full and satisfying life and contributed greatly to the lives of all those he befriended. His greatest pride and joy were his two children Paul and Joanne, the three of them having all graduated from the University of Waterloo in Engineering. Gérard had a passion for his work as a private consultant in international development, which he pursued after retiring from the Canadian International Development Agency. A celebration of Gérard’s life will be held at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street South, Kitchener 519-743-8900 on Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm followed by visitation until 4:00pm.
