WEST, David Irvine "Gramps" - Died peacefully on November 15, 2003 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Hospital Dr. Site at 77 years of age. David was the devoted husband of the late Jean West (nee Carr), loving father of Christine and David (wife Trisha) and the beloved grandfather of Patti, Katie, Jennifer & Marissa. Dear friend to Bonnie Haywood (the late Ron) and several other close family friends. There will be no visitation or funeral at David's request, but a Celebration of his life will be held at the Peterborough Naval Association, (Lansdowne St. E. at Whitlaw), Wednesday, November 19th, 7-9 pm. The family request that expressions of sympathy be made with a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Comstock Funeral Home & Cremation Centre. David West, that was his name Playing pool was his game. He was always funny and old Even when the days were already cold. But when I heard of his death It took me by surprise, death took my breath I could do nothing but weep. My heart fell, it fell so deep. But I knew he was still here I can hear his voice, listen it's so clear. Lovingly remembered & will never be forgotten.
