ROBINSON, Blanche Olive The children announce with sorrow the passing of their mother Blanche Olive Robinson (nee Bartlett), peacefully in her sleep, Thursday, January 22, 2004 in her 76th year. Blanche was born in 1927 in Truro, Nova Scotia, where she spent the first 16 years of her life before joining the Canadian Armed Forces to serve in World War II. After her discharge, she met her husband Ross in Ottawa and during the remaining years of their life they resided where work took them across Canada and the U.S before retiring in Ottawa. Blanche was predeceased by her husband Ross Henry Robinson in 1994 and by her parents Charles Prescott Bartlett and Dora Agnes Bartlett (nee Pyke). She is survived by her children Rosslynn Dexter, Fay Brugger (husband Paul), Mark Robinson (wife Michelle), James Robinson, Ross Robinson (wife Silvia) and Sharon Piper; also by her biggest joys in life, her grandchildren Michael and Jenna Dexter, James and April Dunn, Brittany Dumont, Jesse and Kaila Robinson, Jamie Leigh Robinson, Mandy, Nicolas and Tianna Robinson, Richard and Jonathan Piper, her good friend Nellie Van Herpt and many other friends and acquaintances. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 1255 Walkley Road (east of Bank Street) after 12 noon Thursday. A celebration of Blanche's life will be held in the Chapel Thursday at 1 p.m. followed by interment at Capital Memorial Gardens.
