Rosemary HUBBARD

The death of Rosemary Sutherland, wife of Paul Sutherland of Miramichi NB occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the age of 73. Born in Miramichi, NB, Rosemary was the daughter of the late Clifford and Hatti (Legere) Hubbard. Roesmary retired from the Wharf Inn as a cook, was a homemaker, member of the Newcastle Senior Citizen Group and a member of the Friends of Ritchie Wharf. Besides her husband Paul, Rosemary is survived by three daughters: Sandy Nickerson (Earle) of Saint John, NB, Debbie Allison (David) and Cathy Brideau (David) all of Miramichi, NB; two sons; Daren (Carolyn) and Dana (Laurie-Ann) all of Miramichi, NB; one sister: Maria Nickerson of Miramichi, NB; one brother: Henry of Digby, NS, twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one sister Margaret Catherine and one brother Burton (Buddy). At Rosemary's request there was no visitation at the Funeral Home. A Public Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 1 PM from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel with Father Tom Fowler officiating. Reading by Eva O'Neill. Words of Remembrance by Doug Underhill and a Poem by Darlene Sobey. Organist and Soloist; Jacqueline Allain. The Newcastle Senior Citizen Group attended in a group and formed an honor guard. Following the Funeral Service the family met at the Seniors Room of the Newcastle Lions Club for a reception. In Rosemary's memory a donation may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
