Lynden HOUGH

Peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus on Saturday October 4, 2003 age 79 years. Lynden Sherman Hough of Finch. He was the dearly beloved husband of Marion Hough (Helmer) for 57 wonderful and fun-filled years. Respected and revered father of Gordon Lynden (Cheryl) and Douglas (Terri), all of Brockville. Cherished grandfather (Pappie) of Jennifer (Chris) Flake of Kingston, Jessica, Scott and newest grandson Garrett Lynden Hough and great-grandfather of Emily Lisa, all of Brockville. Dear brother of Bill Hough (Shirley) of Alberta. Predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Bertha Hough (Blair), son Gary Leslie, brother Dean (Joyce Hough of Finch) and nephew Brian. Visitation will be held at the Brownlee Funeral Home, 18 Front Street, Finch on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.; Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. (A SERVICE IN CELEBRATION OF LYNDEN HOUGH'S LIFE WILL BE CELEBRATED IN CHALMER'S UNITED CHURCH, FINCH ON WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 8, 2003 AT 2:00 P.M.) Interment to follow at the Finch Community Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children or the Finchview Villa Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family. Lynden served as the Reeve of Finch Village for 35 years and the Warden of S.D.& G. in 1971. He was presently the Chairman of the Finch and District Seniors Housing Corporation. He was a 50-year member of Finch Masonic Lodge No.557; past President of the Finch District Lions Club; member of the Finch Legion Heather Branch No.357 and a lifetime member of the S.D.&G. Cornwall Shrine Club.
