Rosario DUPLESSIS

DUPLESSIS, Rosario (Ross) Donat Rosario (Ross) Donat Duplessis, formerly of Ellscott, and Donatville, Alberta passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2003, at the age of 90 years. He was predeceased by sisters Yvonne and Bella, and brothers Romeo, Leo and Laurier, and also four infant sons. He is survived by his loving wife Viola, his children Joseph (Donna), Linda, Wayne (Diane), Carol (Kevin), stepchildren Ralph, Ron, Frank, Shirley, Leona and Lee Ann. He is also survived by grandchildren Jody, Danielle, Michelle, Vern, Kristofer, Grayson, Benjamin, Marc and Adam, and many great-grandchildren. Rosario was born in Edmonton, March 22, 1912. His family lived in Edmonton until his father returned from WW I. His parents then homesteaded at Donatville, Alberta. He grew up and spent most of his life on his family farm. Farming did not always pay the bills of an ever growing family. He found a job with Calgary Power, and moved the family to Edmonton in 1959. He worked as a lineman, then surveyor, and after retiring from Transalta Utilities, moved back to the family farm at Donatville. Rosario moved to Ellscott in the mid-eighties, where he spent his remaining years. He will be sadly missed by all those that knew him. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton, especially the staff on the 7th Floor, for their sincere care. Viewing, Visitation, and Prayer Services will be held at The Word of Life Centre in Boyle on Sunday, January 19, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 20, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at The Word of Life Centre. Interment will be at the Donatville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart, Lung or Diabetes Foundations. Mission View Funeral Chapel Ltd.
