GODIN, MARIE EUPHEMIE (GAUVIN)-At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB, on May 17, 2003, following a brief illness, Mrs. Marie Euphemie (Gauvin) Godin, wife of the late Joseph Godin of Harvey, NB and formerly of Blacks Harbour, NB. Born in St. Basille, NB on December 11, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Remi and Julie (St. Onge) Gauvin. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by two sons, Louis Godin (Rejeanne Poitras) of St. Stephen, NB, Medrick (Irma) Godin of Harvey, NB; one daughter, Janet and Arsene Blanchard of Wellington Road, Blacks Harbour; seventeen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Marie was the last member of her imêmediate family. Pre-deceased by four brothers, Malcolm, Cyril, Hubert and Abraham; six sisters, Delia, Annie, Severine, Celestine, Yvonne and Jeanne; and one daughter, Pauline Blanchard. Marie moved to Harvey following the passing of her husband in 1995. She enjoyed knitting and sewing and loved to cook. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB with visiting on Monday from 3-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church in Blacks Harbour on Tuesday at 11 am with Father Maurice Swift officiating, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Vigil Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Monday at 3 pm. Donations to the NB Kidney Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. www.stgeorgefh.ca
