Monica SAPPIER

Monica St-Jacques (Sappier) of Tobique First Nation passed away unexpectedly at her home on September 23, 2008. Born in Perth-Andover on September 30, 1969, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Carolyn (Tomah) Sappier. Monica leaves behind her sisters Tammy Sappier (Prudent Hachey), Audra Sappier (Tim Sisson); her brothers Trent Sappier (Jenny), Tony Sappier (Nina), all of Tobique First Nation; as well as 12 nieces and nephews, and one great nephew. Funeral service was held on Monday, September 29, 2008 at 2 pm from St. Ann's Catholic Church, Tobique First Nation. Father Curtis Sappier officiated, assisted by Father Gilbert Doddatto. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery. Music for the service was by organist Tracy Hamilton and St. Ann's Church Choir. The eulogy was given by Chief Gerald Bear. Pallbearers were Kenny St-Jacques, Muskie Sockabasin Jr., Lester Francis, Paul Bear, John Moulton, Zack Sappier, Trevor Bear, and Aaron Nicholas.
