After a courageous battle with cancer, at the Mount Sinai Hospital, on Monday, February 10, 2003, at eighty years old. Beloved husband of Margaret Peterman for 54 years. Dearly cherished and devoted father of Peggy McCoy and of his faithful son-in-law Jack McCoy who spent those last few months at his bed side. Loving and caring grandfather of Meghan McCoy his "turtledove". He will be sadly missed by his dedicated son Christopher John Vajo (Irene). He leaves behind three adorable grandchildren, Christopher, Michael John and Vanessa. Forever remembered by his dear sister Mary and brother-in-law Chester Sawczysyzn. Brother-in-law to Lucille and John Peterman. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and many devoted friends. Visitation at Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella), on Tuesday, February 11, 2003 and on Wednesday, February 12, 2003 from 2 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Kane & Fetterly Funeral Chapel, on Thursday, February 13, 2003, at 2 p.m. Interment at Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery.
