PAAKKOLA, Veikko In loving memory of Veikko Paakkola, 86 years, who passed away Saturday morning, June 14th, 2003 at the Finlandia Koti. Beloved husband of Taimi (Jokela) Paakkola of Sudbury. Loving father of Allan (wife Nicole) of Embrun. Dear son of Waino and Lyydia Paakkola both predeceased. Dear brother of Rakel Pokkyla and Kalervo both predeceased. Dear uncle of Inkeri Peura, Erkki Pokkyla and Yrjo Kangas all of Finland. Born in Finland, he came to Canada as a tailor and then worked for many years in the mines in Timmins, moving to Sudbury 14 years ago. He was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church and the Finnish Historical Society. Private Family Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St., Wednesday, June 18th, 2003. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
