William John (Bill) McBeath 1923 - 2006 It is with great sadness that the family of Bill McBeath announces his death on Friday March 24, 2006, at the age of 83. Born in Moncton, Bill was the son of the late William John and Emily (Stoyles) McBeath. He will be greatly missed by Bertha (Sullivan), his wife of 57 years, son Bill (Susan), daughters Ann Fisher (Ross), Claire Esson (Shane), and daughter-in-law Jennifer McBeath. He also leaves behind ten special grandchildren, Sarah, Dawn, Kerri, Scott, Kate, Michael, Jared, Jack, Marin, and Taylor. His son Geoffrey (2004) and his sister Ruth (1977) predeceased him. In addition to being a loving and dedicated husband and father, he had great passion for his grandchildren. He also enjoyed music, summers at Caissie Cape (a.k.a. Papa's Beach), and "competitive" card games with the grandkids. In 1993 he was inducted in the Baseball New Brunswick Hall of Fame, in recognition of his support and contribution to the game he loved. The Family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the compassionate staff of the Moncton Hospital for the outstanding care that he received during his illness.
