Martha AUGER

AUGER, Martha "Mattie" Peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday, April 14, 2006 at the age of 83. Predeceased by her beloved husband Roger. Loving mother of Brian (Laura Hebden), Barry (Karen), and Christine (Rob Clark). Devoted Nanny of Gary and Steven Auger, and Shayna and Jessica Tate. She leaves behind her dearest sister Freda Blain and her sister-in-law Lucille (Ken Toll). She will be fondly remembered by her extended family and by her many dear friends. Mattie spent 23 years working for the RCMP. She was a WWII veteran, and proud member of the Royal Air Force. Special thanks to the staff of the ICU at the General Hospital. Friends may gather at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 235 Kent Street on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Church, (Wilbrod at Cumberland) on Thursday at 12 noon. In memoriam donations to the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind or the Canadian Cancer Society.
