Dorothy Joan GEHAN

Campling, Dorothy Joan (Gehan) Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ontario on Friday August 26th, 2005 at the age of 78 years. Joan will be sadly missed by her husband and best friend Fred of Midhurst, her children Kathleen and her husband Doug Smyth of Brampton, Robert and his wife JoAnne of London, Nancy and her husband Greg Burton of Appleton, WI, and Mary Campling of Vancouver, BC. Grandma will also be fondly remembered by her seven grandchildren - Laura, Eric, Bryan, Michael, Michelle, Jeremiah and Joshua. Joan was a graduate of Queen's University (BA '49) Joan, Fred and family lived in Kapuskasing, Ontario for 39 wonderful years. In 1990, they moved to Midhurst, Ontario and Joan became an active member of St. Mary's Church, the Barrie Country Club and a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels and Out of the Cold programs. Friends may call at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home (Clapperton and Worsley Streets) Barrie, on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held from St. Mary's Church, Barrie on Tuesday Morning August 30th, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Barrie.
