Duncan Robert DANIELS

Daniels, Duncan Robert, November 23, 1927 - January 12, 2005. It is with sadness and relief that the Daniels family announces the passing of our husband, father and grandfather. Married to Jacquetta (Marshall) for almost fifty years, father of Tracy (Ed Strohm), Mary (James Creighton) and Peter (Laura). Dunc was the proud Poppa of Danielle, Ann, J.P., Jordan and Olivia, family came first always. Born in Winnipeg he used his natural athletic talents to excel in all sports. Winning the Memorial Cup with the 1945-46 Winnipeg Monarchs, he was inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame. He went on to play hockey for the University of Minnesota and Stratford. Dunc will be remembered by many as a past owner of Parkside Variety. He coached swimming and hockey and was regional representative for CASA for a number of years. At Duncan's request there will be no visitation or service. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
