Gordon Arthur BESWETHERICK

Beswetherick, Gordon Arthur Passed away peacefully on the morning of February 7, 2004 at Grove Park Home, in the company of family members. Gordon was born Gordon Arthur Martin on October 7, 1910, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was the son of James Martin of Kilbirnie, Scotland, and Helen Dunnett, of Portland, Maine. After the death of his father, and then his mother, during the flu epidemic of 1918, Gordon was adopted by Joseph and Alice Beswetherick, of Lisle. Gordon was raised there, and enjoyed life on the family farm. Predeceased by his parents and his sisters Jean Whittington and Dora Grose, Gordon is survived by other sisters, Irene Hartnoll, of Sicamous, British Columbia, and Olive Sinzheimer, of Cape May, New Jersey, and by his brother Gregg Martin Coulson and his wife Rose, of Capreol. Loving uncle of David Sinzheimer, Bill Sinzheimer, Carol MacDowell, David Whittington, Susan Gebauer, Bill Hartnoll, Sandra Coulson, Brenda Coulson and Wendy Briscoe. Gordon will always be remembered for his kind and gentle manner, and his love of Nature. He was a life long member of the Brereton Field Naturalists Club of Barrie. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Grove Park Home on Tuesday, March 9th at 2 pm, with interment in the Spring at the Alliston Union Cemetery.
