Saunders, Leslie F.C. 1923 - 2003 (Veteran WWII Signal Corps., Long-time member of St. Chad’s Anglican Church, Toronto, St. Philip’s, Unionville, St. Margaret of Scotland, Barrie & various Lion’s Club Chapters) At the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on Tuesday, April 8th, 2003. Les Saunders in his 80th year of Barrie and formerly of the Greater Toronto area. Beloved husband of Doris for 56 years. Loving and wonderful father of Doug, Dennis (Sylvie), Dale (Dorothy), Patti (Bob), Lesley (Gilles), Ali (Brad) and Karen. Proud Poppa of Darryl, Stephany, Kristina, Gavan, Riley, Damon & William. Adoring uncle of the Jones, Lee, Gray, McJanette, Mraz & Saunders families. Special thanks to Dr. Kim McKenzie, care-giving staff at RVH, Barrie and the watchers and nurses of St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto. The friendship, comfort and support of Rev. Warren Leibovitch, Canon David Clarke, Rev. Bruce Musgrave and Debbie McCracken has been a true blessing. Friends may call at St. Margaret of Scotland Anglican Church, 161 Hanmer Street West, Barrie (www.stmargaretbarrie.ca) on Friday April 11th from 7-9p.m. and on Saturday, April 12th from 11:00 until the time of Service at 12:00 noon. Interment St. Philip’s Cemetery, Unionville.
