Joseph H.L. Desfosses Served in Air Force during Korean War Joseph H.L. Desfosses, 67, died Nov. 17, 2001, at a local hospital. Mr. Desfosses was born in New York City on Jan. 25, 1934, the son of Hector and Adrienne (Lemieux) Desfosses. He was a resident of Hooksett for the past year and a half, coming from Manchester where he lived until then. At the time of his employment, Mr. Desfosses was a manager with Volume, Inc./Mobil Oil corporation. He was a veteran, and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War in North Africa. A devoted family man, his interests included hunting, fishing, NASCAR racing and baseball. Family members include his wife of 46 years, Marion (Smith) Desfosses of Hooksett; six children, Charles H. Desfosses of Bedford, Susan D. King of Milford, Pamela J. Charron of Bedford, Leanne D. Bille of Rochester, J. Richard Desfosses of Gorham, and Tracy E. Hamilton of Hooksett; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Rita Brouillard of Concord; and seven nieces and nephews. A graveside service was held at Fairview Cemetery, Northwood, N.J. The Rev. Georges de Laire, from St. Joseph’s Church Northwood, officiated. Memorial donations may be made to The Santa Fund, c/o The Union Leader, PO Box 9555 Mancester, NH 03108. Arrangements were under the direction of the Goodwin Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
