RAFUSE, Brenda Winnifred Blackie (nee Benedict) - In loving memory of Brenda Winnifred Blackie Rafuse, (nee Benedict), 67 years, who passed away Monday, April 3rd, 2006 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. Dear daughter of Everett Benedict (predeceased) and Florence Benedict of Nova Scotia. Beloved wife of the late Clyde Rafuse (predeceased February 2nd, 1992). Loving mother of Stephanie, Stephen (wife Joanne), Michele (husband David Pearsons), Michael (wife Carla) and Kim (husband Ken O'Connor). Devoted grandmother to Kristyn, Devon, Breanna, Lee and Tyler. Dear sister of Mona (husband Gary Oicle) of Nova Scotia and sister Carol Trottier (predeceased). Sister- in-law to Carol Rafuse (Monetville), Seymour (wife Margit) of Alberta, Marguerite Wendell, Pauline Singer, Dorothy Tucker all of Nova Scotia, Jessie Rafuse of P.E.I. and Sally Rafuse of Pembroke and the late Gerald, Carl and Marjorie all predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Special friend to Cindy, Christine, Edith, Barb, Jill and Pat. Brenda was a School Teacher with the Rainbow Board of Education for many of her 42 years of teaching. She was a member of St. Alban's Anglican Church. Brenda touched the lives of students, friends and family. She will always be remembered for her amazing baking. Her greatest love was for her children and grandchildren. A Celebration of Brenda's life will be held at the R.J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, Thursday, April 6th, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers donations to Northeastern Ontario Regional Cancer Center would be appreciated. (Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. Thursday).
