SMEDLEY, Robert G. “Bob“ - In loving memory of Robert G. “Bob“ Smedley, 61 years, who passed away on Saturday, September 23rd, 2006 at the SRH - Laurentian Site. Beloved husband of Liette (nee Duciaume) (Marquis) Smedley of Sudbury. Loving father of Marcel Marquis (wife Carole) of Windsor. Cherished grandfather of Kayla, Danika and Desirée. Dear son of Hubert and Janet (Scobie) Smedley predeceased. Dear brother of Jill Mark (husband Greg) of Deep River, Jane Thomas (husband Roy) of Nepean and Jim (wife Sherri) of Dun-Robin. Dear son-in-law of Rejeanne Duciaume and brother-in-law of Diane Chartrand (husband Marcel) both of Sudbury. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Bob was born in Ottawa and married Liette (nee Duciaume) Marquis. He grew up in Deep River. Bob was a mechanical foreman at INCO having 30 years service, retiring in 1998 and was part of the Quarter Century Club. He lived his life to the fullest and loved fishing, hunting and camping with his buddies. Bob's son and nieces and nephews were an important part of him and his grandchildren were the highlight of his life as he loved children a great deal. He had a special talent in woodworking and spent a lot of time in his garage. Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel on Wednesday, September 28th, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium.
