Marita Irmeli KUNTSI

MALLORY, Marita Irmeli (nee Kuntsi) In loving memory of Marita Irmeli Mallory, 61 years of age, who passed away on January 12, 2006 at Sudbury Regional Hospital. Marita was born October 27, 1944 in Heinola, Finland, the daughter of the late Toivo Kuntsi and late Elpi Kuntsi (nee Piiroinen). Much loved wife of Dr. Frank F. Mallory (Sudbury) and loving mother of Michael Hume Juhani Mallory (wife Anita Huhtala) of Sudbury, Seija Elizabeth Deschenes (husband Nelson Deschenes) of Little Current, Manitoulin Island, Maija Christina Elpi Mallory (husband Shawn R. Legault) of Lively, and Christopher Toivo Francis Mallory (special friend- Pamela Poirier) of Sudbury. Loving grandmother of Taylin and Jenna Legault, Kai and Kyra Mallory and Autumn Deschenes. Dear sister of Kari and Lise Kuntsi (Powel River, B.C.), Ritva and Gary Kidson (Vancouver, B.C.), Raineri and Barbara Kuntsi (Powel River, B.C.) and David Kuntsi (Power River, B.C.) and sister-in-law of Len and Blythe Minty (Peterborough, ON) and Michael and Margaret Smyth (Waterloo, ON) and survived by many nieces and nephews. Marita was a councilor at John Island Camp and in the early years worked for the City of Sudbury, as a playground supervisor. She was a graduate of Laurentian University and became a recreational therapist for the Sudbury Algoma Hospital. Marita will be remembered for her deep commitment to her family and friends, her generosity and love for life and her great love of cooking. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Friday, January 20th, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. Interment in the Water's Cemetery.
