CUMMING, Edith Alguire - 84, died peacefully September 6, 2006. She was born October 12, 1921 in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of William Ernest Alguire and Alice Elson Alguire. She spent her childhood in Cornwall and was married there to Donald Neil Cumming of Williamstown, Ontario. The Cumming family left Canada and spent a short time in Arizona before moving to Morgan County, Georgia, USA in 1957. Mrs. Cumming worked as a hotel receptionist as well as raising four children and tending her household. She was an active member of Rutledge United Methodist Church. She loved her family and always looked forward to special events that brought the family together. Mrs. Cumming is survived by her husband of almost 62 years, Neil Cumming and their children, Ann Cumming Zimmermann and Fred, Donald Cumming and Susan, Duncan Cumming and Jane and Jim Cumming and Barbara; seven grandchildren, Neil Jones, Tiffany Jones Ellenberg, Ian Jones, David Cumming, Adam Cumming, Lori Cumming Frost and Eric Cumming. There are eight great- grandchildren, Joseph and Lauren Cumming, Carson and Reilly Frost, Austin and Caleb Cumming and Ian and Ross Ellenberg. The funeral service was held Saturday, September 9th, at 11 am at Rutledge United Methodist Church and interment at Madison Memorial Park. Reverend Andy Postell officiated. Pallbearers were Neil Jones, Ian Jones, David Cumming, Adam Cumming, Jack Frost and honorary pallbearer, Joseph Cumming. A.E. Carter Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. 10391964
