Fernande Marie Rita GAGNON

GAGNON, Fernande (Fern) Marie Rita - Peacefully at North Bay General Hospital on 2nd of August, 2006, while in her 65th year. Fernande was the beloved sister of Eileen Major, Kelowna, BC; Rollande Gagnon, Toronto; Joanne Pearson (Edward), St.Petersburg, Florida; Isabelle Lafontaine (Leo), North Bay; Gerard Gagnon (Suniva), North Bay; Jean-Paul Gagnon, Ottawa; Daniel Gagnon (Nancy), North Bay; Diane Chirgwin (Terry), North Bay; Andre Gagnon (Veronique), Montreal; Roger Gagnon, St.Johns, NL; Marguerite Tremblay (Brian), North Bay; Marie Stewart (John), North Bay; and sister- in-law to Mariette Gagnon. She is predeceased by her eldest brother, Gerald (Jan. 16, 2002) and by her loving parents Yvonne (Lessard) Gagnon (Sept. 29, 1977) and Joseph Gagnon (Oct. 31, 1994). Lovingly remembered by nieces and nephews: Kerry, Dawna, Michael and Norman Major; Lisanne, Edithe, Louise, and Martin Gagnon; Paul, Daniel and Pauline Lafontaine; Pierre and Paul Gagnon; Chantal, Meggan and Jamie Chirgwin; Melissa, Julie and Antoine Gagnon; Aaron Tremblay; Terra Stewart; and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Fernande worked for 30 years at Ecole Secondaire Algonquin as a secretary. She retired in June, 1998. She enjoyed her retirement, gardening, taking long walks in the nature trails, singing in the mixed choir and visiting with her many nephews and nieces. She has been a great friend to many! She enjoyed comforting and visiting the sick and lonely. At her request there will be no visitations. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hillside Funeral Home. Cremation will be followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Eglise St-Vincent de Paul at 11 am. Mass offerings for the repose of her soul and any donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated
