WELLS, WILLIAM THOMAS GEORGE - Unexpectedly, surrounded by his loving family, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB on September 29th, 2006, Mr. William Thomas George Wells, age 61, of St. George NB. Born in Saint John on May 7th, 1945, he was the son of the late Thomas and Elsie Wells. Bill is survived by his loving and much loved companion, Barb Rayner of St. George; his children, Vicki (Art) Wiggins of Edmonton AB, Stacey (Kevin) Wells of Blacks Harbour NB, Andrew (Kim) Wells also of Blacks Harbour; nine grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Matthew, Michelle, Sean, Janna, Mason, Kelly and Joseph; four sisters in Canada, three brothers and three sisters in Scotland. He was predeceased by his parents, one sister, Pat and one brother, Alex. Bill was employed with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans for 37 years. He was known for his kind and generous heart, his sense of humor, his love of animals and his devotion to his family and friends. He was an avid hockey fan and he always looked forward to his trips down south. "Uncle Bill" leaves a huge void in many lives, which will never be filled. Visitation will take place at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB on Monday, October 2, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, at 11:00 am from St. Marks Anglican Church, St. George, with the Rev. David Genge officiating.
