Vera Elizabeth LOWE

RAE-BROWN, Vera Elizabeth (nee Lowe). 1923-2006. Vera passed away peacefully in London, England on November 1, with her daughters beside her. Cremation will be followed by a memorial service. Cherished mother to Jan Hayday in London and Jenny Rae-Brown (Rob Clarke) in Ottawa, adored Grandma to Suzanne and Maria and to Christopher and Katie, loving sister to Hannah Davidson, and treasured by all her family and close friends, she will be greatly missed in England and in Canada. A graduate of Verdun High School and McGill University (BA 1949), Vera worked at Sun Life, and at Mt. Tremblant Lodge, moving to England in 1962, where she taught for some years. She led a full and contented life (the past 25 years in Blackheath, London), with family and friends her priority.
