WINTERS, Bert It is with great sadness that our family announces the death of our beloved Bert at the age of 75. Bert passed away November 11, 2006 at Elisabeth Bruyere Palliative Care Unit with his family by his side. He is the loving and much loved husband of Catherine (nee Rowan), the loving and proud father of Mary Ann and Barbara Ann, grandfather and best friend of Michael with whom he shared a special bond. He is also survived by his sisters Ilsa of Germany and Charlotte of Dallas. Bert's only wish was to thank his many friends who made this final journey easier and in a special way every one of the staff at the Elisabeth Bruyere Palliative Care Unit who cared for him so generously and lovingly, especially Denis, Sitee and Francoise who always went the extra mile for him. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 585 Somerset St. W. (centretown) Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Thursday to St. Elizabeth's Church for Mass of Christian Funeral at 2 p.m. Interment St. Bernard's Cemetery.
