GAUVREAU, Jill (My Babe) 1934 - 2000 A message to my one and only love, mon amour, mi amore. In a dream you appear and you place your hand in mine. In a dream you kiss me and your lips are so divine. Your divine lips pursed in a gentle and heavenly smile; Your tender and soothing voice; your ravishing eyes; your soft and infectious laugh. All these things, and more will forever be etched in my heart and soul. I was holding you in my arms when on this day six years ago you passed on to be with our God. I sensed your pain. I felt your pain. I wanted to go with you But I could not follow. My heart and I miss you so much. My soul tittilates at the thought of being reunited with yours. You were my inspiration, my motivation, my everything. You were the soft breeze that caressed me in my moments of grief. Oh, but that I could hold you in my arms once more. I will love you forever. Throughout the ages many definitions of love have been scripted. But none come close to describing the way that I love you. My comfort in this life is to know that you suffer no more. But still I feel your pain. And when on that fateful day when my tomorrow will not come I will seek that bright light I will find that light I will go to that light. For I know that you will be part of that bright light. God bless the day you came into my life. I will continue to wander through our cherished memory lanes. Your husband, best friend, partner and soulmate, forever. Ted. Published in the Ottawa Citizen on 11/25/2006
