PATTERSON, Herbert Alfred. Passed away at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington, Ontario, on Tuesday, November 28, 2006, in his ninety-first year. Beloved husband of Della Patterson for almost 60 years. Dear brother of Nellie McKeown (Meredith) of Morrisburg, Gwen MacKenzie (late John) of Moncton, Dr. Maxwell Patterson (Carolyn) of Burlington and Nelson Patterson (Marilyn) of Aurora. Favorite uncle and great-uncle of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Philip and Daisy Patterson of Sunny Bank, Gaspe, Quebec, and his brothers, Bud, Owen, Cyril and Everett. Herb was born in Gaspe, Quebec and spent many years in Douglastown, New Brunswick before moving to Dorval where he and Della spent 48 years before moving to Burlington in 1997. He was a 43 year employee with Canadian International Paper, an avid gardener, hunter and fisherman. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Friday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Wellington Square United Church, 2121 Caroline Street, Burlington, on Saturday, December 2, 2006, at 11 a.m. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Miramichi, New Brunswick.
