DesCHAMPS, Georgette (nee Dominique) The Gay Blade Antiques February 28, 1925 - January 15, 2007 Peacefully, surrounded by family in her 81st year, with sadness we say goodbye to a loving and loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, mother-in-law and friend. Beloved wife of 56 years to Walter DesChamps. Predeceased by her daughter Daria, waiting in God's arms to greet her. Loved and adored by her children Darla (Art Ashcroft) and Renee (Jason Duprau), by her grandchildren Samantha and Victoria and her sister Maureen (Norm Eburne, Norm Jr. and Mary). She will forever be remembered for her great talents in sewing, cooking and her beautiful gardens at Norway Bay. Her proudest accomplishment was owning and operating the Gay Blade Antique Shop in the Glebe for 15 years, with Walter, her silent partner, at her side. The family wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Civic Hospital for their care and allowing Georgette to pass away peacefully and with dignity. "REST IN PEACE MOM" Family will receive friends for a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. in the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Rd. Ottawa. Reception to follow.
