A journalist-writer, world traveler, and a sociable being. Beloved husband of Mary E. Scott Whitney. Son of the late Richard A. Whitney and the late Lillian M. Eichron Whitney. Beloved father of Tyrone S. Whitney (Kate); loving step-father of Michael (Linda), Bill (Nicole), Cheryl (Ron) Barnes, and Laura (Bob) Barnes Stewart. Proud grandfather of Sadie and Anika Whitney; Jason, Jeremy, Steve Barnes; Ryan, Justin, and Joshua Stewart; Jocelyn and Christopher Brash. Cremation.
